Redding Police arrested a man at a North Redding motel after he reportedly threatened people with hay hooks. Police were called Sunday afternoon to the Motel 6 on Twin View Boulevard to check on man who was threatening employees with metal hay hooks. Officers contacted 48-year-old Benjamin Reeves and he reportedly put the hooks on the ground. He eventually was taken into custody, but once he was in the patrol vehicle police say he kicked the patrol car. Police say an officer sustained a minor injury. Reeves was booked into the Shasta County Jail for resisting arrest with injury to an officer.
