Man Arrested For Attempted Murder After Shootings In Red Bluff

An arrest has been made from a pair of shooting incidents at a Red Bluff trailer park. On the night of January 23rd, Luis Mercado Montalvo of Orland was parked in front of the Homewood Mobile Home Park on Belle Mill Road when a man walked up to him with a gun and fired multiple rounds. One bullet struck Montalvo in his left leg. He drove himself to a hospital and was later discharged. The second incident was three nights later, when 38-year-old Dana Brown was shot in the head. He was hospitalized in critical condition. On Wednesday Tehama County sheriff’s investigators arrested 29-year-old Jerry Julian Anaya on two counts of attempted murder. He’s in jail on a Million Dollars bail.
