Man Who Threatened To Rape And Kill Woman Sentenced To Prison

A Redding man with an active criminal history has been sentenced to prison for threatening a woman in January. 32-year-old Anthony Martin Parks was standing outside the woman’s home brandishing a knife and repeatedly threatening to rape her and kill her. As Redding Police approached, he jumped a fence and fled, discarding the knife. He also was in possession of tear gas. Parks, whose face is covered in tattoos, was already on parole when he was arrested in October of 2018 for pointing an imitation gun at passing cars in front of the Downtown Safeway. For the latest incident he’s been sentenced to 6 years in state prison.
