Shasta County Reports No New COVID-19 Deaths

No new Covid fatalities were reported from Friday or Saturday in Shasta County. That number remains at 161. Another 68 cases were confirmed, as well as 401 negative tests. The total number of cases so far is 10,700. An estimated 253 people have the virus right now, 22 of them hospitalized and 5 in intensive care.

Tehama County has reported 4,883 cases and 48 deaths.
There have been 316 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
1,629 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 13 deaths.
Butte County has reported 148 deaths among their 10,343 cases.
Lassen County has had 16 deaths among their 1,962 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,473 cases in prison.
Glenn County has had 2,078 cases and 23 deaths.
Humboldt County has had 2,955 cases and 32 deaths.
Modoc County has had 436 cases and 4 deaths.

Shasta County residents who got the first dose of vaccine January 16th can get the next shot at a mass clinic at the fairgrounds in Anderson this Saturday (2/13). Check specific times at shastaready.org . That’s also where anyone can click on “Tell Me When It’s My Turn”. Public health will then call to make an appointment when the vaccine becomes available.

Walk-ins are being accepted at the three state Covid testing sites.The sites at Breslauer Way and the Senior Center on Benton Drive are open Tuesday through Saturday and the site at Shasta College is open Monday through Friday. Hours are 7AM to 630PM. More details are at shastaready.org.
