Changes are coming to some Redding streets and trails, thanks to a couple of transportation grants awarded by the state. One of the goals of the Active Transportation Program is improving safe and functional pathways for a variety of active modes of transportation. More than $10 Million will be spent in the area of Victor and East Cypress, including a roundabout at that intersection, improvements on Victor between Cypress and Hartnell, and improvements on Cypress between Victor and Alfreda, enhanced pedestrian crossings and a path from Cypress Avenue to Mistletoe School. Another $4 Million will be spent to improve access and safety for walkers and bicyclists visiting the Sundial Bridge, including a trail connection to Butte Street. More details on these projects can be found at cityofredding.org.
