Charges have been filed against a Chico State University history professor accused of downloading child pornography. Professor Laird McLeod Easton was the subject of a search warrant on January 21st. Detectives reported finding more than 100 images of child porn on Easton’s cell phone. After being booked into jail, Easton posted bail and was released. Arraignment is set for April 9th. The university has suspended him from teaching.
