Two people were killed in a head-on crash on icy roads in Eastern Shasta County Thursday afternoon. At around 5:40PM, a car was eastbound on Highway 44 near Bridge Creek Road a couple of miles east of the Lassen Park entrance when the driver lost control. The car spun around and crashed head-on into a westbound Toyota pickup. Both occupants of the car died. The pickup driver was not injured.
