Cal-Fire crews in Shasta County had a busy day Wednesday.
The value of the loss is not known from a fire that broke out at some storage units in the Mountain Gate area. The fire started in a unit of the “D” building at Bryant Security Storage on Holiday Road. The flames spread through the walls and kept going, eventually affecting as many as 2 dozen units.
A home was lost in French Gulch. The double wide mobile home was located in Clear Creek Estates off Trinity Mountain Road, with the loss estimated at $100,000. The cause was determined to be smoking.
An escaped debris burn scorched about a quarter acre off Dolly Lane in Happy Valley.
A fire of unknown cause burned a quarter acre off Park Ridge Drive in Anderson.
