Human remains have been found in Red Bluff. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office is investigating how the bones ended up in the slough portion of the U.S. Forest Service Lake Red Bluff Recreation Area off of Sale Lane. Someone called 9-1-1 at 10 O’clock Sunday morning after he found a human skull, pelvis, leg and arm bones. Officials collected the bones and will search the area further in the coming days as they try to determine an identity. The sheriff’s office says there’s no reason at this point to suspect foul play.
