Outdoor Events Can Resume With Limited Capacity April 1st

Two more Shasta County residents have been killed by covid. They were a man in his 70s and a woman over age 89. Fatalities now total 204. Friday and Saturday brought 32 more cases, as well as 1,385 negative tests. The total number of cases so far is 11,365. An estimated 93 people have the virus right now, 7 of them hospitalized and nobody in intensive care.

Live outdoor events with audiences can resume starting April 1st in Shasta County with a maximum of 20% of the venue capacity. Crowds must be California residents with advance reservations.

California is expanding vaccine eligibility to anyone 50 and over starting April 1st and anyone 16 and over on April 15th. Appointments are available for vaccination clinics in the coming days. Information is at shastaready.org.

There have been 390 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
1,875 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 16 deaths.
Butte County has reported 178 deaths among their 11,080 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,059 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,594 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 3,473 cases and 36 deaths.
Modoc County has had 474 cases and 4 deaths.
