Pedestrian Struck And Killed On I-5 In Tehama County

An elderly man was killed late Tuesday night after he was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 5 in Tehama County, according to the CHP. At about 11:40PM, the unidentified 74-year-old man from Cottonwood was apparently walking in the fast lane of Southbound I-5 near Sunset Hills Drive when he was struck by a 2021 Honda Civic driven by Adrienne Randall from Forest Grove, Oregon. The CHP says its unclear why the man was on the freeway at the time. The southbound lanes of the freeway were closed for a few hours as the CHP conducted an investigation. The man’s identity has not been released.
