Local Big Events Slowly Returning After Pandemic Postponements

Following last week’s announcement that the Shasta District Fair will take place this year, two other big events have also announced their return, one of them a little late and the other one right on time. On Thursday May 20th through Saturday May 22nd the fairgrounds in Anderson will host the Sierra-Cascade Logging Conference, which is the largest forest products and construction equipment exposition in the Western U.S. On the 29th and 30th of May, the 79th Happy Valley Strawberry Festival will return to West Valley High School, with a 4-H pancake breakfast, followed by crafts, antiques, classic cars and those famous strawberry shortcakes.
