A man walking his motorized bicycle was struck and killed by a vehicle in North Redding Tuesday morning. Redding Police were called to the area of North Market Street and Caterpillar Road about 5:30AM. Police say a woman was driving a Toyota Prius southbound on North Market Street. According to police, the Prius struck the unidentified man, who was in the traffic lane, just south of Caterpillar Road. He suffered major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol were a factor, but the collision remains under investigation.
