No Charges Filed Against Man Who Said Stabbing Was In Self Defense

Charges may be dropped against a man who admitted to a double stabbing. On the night of April 3rd Trinity County Deputies responded to a disturbance in the Hayfork area. Two stabbing victims were hospitalized, and were in stable condition at last word. One of them was uncooperative but the other one apparently named the attacker as 25-year-old Luka Vujotic. He had fled the scene before deputies arrived, but the next day he showed up at the sheriff’s office and admitted to stabbing the two, saying they were trying to kill him and he had fled because other people also wanted to kill him. Vujotic was booked on two counts of attempted murder, but the Trinity County District Attorney’s Office may be inclined to believe Vujotic because they have so far declined to file a case against him.
