Concord Man Arrested After Reportedly Kidnapping His Ex-Girlfriend

A Bay Area man was arrested by Corning Police after an alleged kidnapping, according to the Corning Observer. On Monday morning Tehama County dispatchers got a 9-1-1 text from a Red Bluff woman saying she had been abducted by her ex-boyfriend and was being taken against her will southbound on Interstate 5 in an RV with Oregon plates. Dispatch pinged the location of the cell phone to Prairie View Court in Red Bluff. A “be on the lookout” was sent to area law enforcement and a Corning Police Officer got onto the freeway and spotted the RV just as it was heading into Glenn County. The woman was found inside uninjured and 47-year-old Christopher Hildebrand of Concord was arrested for kidnapping and false imprisonment.
