Coroner ID’s Man Killed Early Tuesday Morning

A man who was struck and killed by a car in North Redding Tuesday morning while walking his motorized bicycle has been identified by the coroners office as 36-year-old Gerald Michael Webb of French Gulch. He was struck by a Toyota Prius on North Market Street between Caterpillar Road and Lake Boulevard a little after 5:30AM. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected. The southbound lanes of that stretch of highway were closed for about 4 hours as RPD investigated.
