Shasta County Remain In Red Tier Despite Jump In Case Rate

Another 31 COVID-19 cases have been reported in Shasta County, as well as 768 negative tests. There have been 11,849 cases so far, and 220 fatalities. An estimated 125 people have the virus right now, 7 people are hospitalized and 3 are in intensive care.

 

Shasta County’s adjusted case rate has increased from 6.8 to 10.2 daily cases per 100,000 residents, but the county remains in the red tier.

Tehama County has reported 5,507 cases and 58 deaths.
There have been 398 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
2,036 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 21 deaths.
Butte County has reported 181 deaths among their 11,563 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,099 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,593 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 3,814 cases and 38 deaths.
Modoc County has had 493 cases and 4 deaths.

 

More than 18 Million of an estimated 32 Million people eligible for vaccine in California are fully or partially vaccinated, including 73% of residents 65 and older. The state appears to have hit a vaccine plateau. Humboldt County even declined 1,000 extra doses last week due to lackluster demand.
