Pfizer Vaccine Clinics Start Friday At Redding Senior Center

Shasta County reported another 33 confirmed cases from Friday and Saturday, and 1,222 negative tests, for a total so far of 12,208 cases. 226 people have died of Covid. An estimated 167 people have the virus right now, 10 are hospitalized and 1 is in intensive care.

 

Vaccine is now available in Shasta County for children as young as 12. Starting this Friday Pfizer vaccine clinics will be held at the Redding Senior Center on Benton Drive on Friday through Tuesday from 10AM to 7PM, closed for lunch from 2PM to 3PM. Walk-ins will be welcome or appointments can be made at myturn.ca.gov . Vaccines are free of charge for everyone. They’re about 90% effective and no vaccinated person in Shasta County has died from COVID-19, or from the vaccine.

 

Despite suggestions by the CDC that masks are no longer necessary for vaccinated people, California will keep its mask rules in place until June 15th.

 

Tehama County has reported 5,590 cases and 59 deaths.
There have been 402 cases and 5 deaths in Trinity County.
2,270 have been reported in Siskiyou County with 26 deaths.
Butte County has reported 183 deaths among their 11,898 cases.
Lassen County has had 22 deaths among their 2,123 cases in the community and 2 deaths among the 3,593 cases in prison.
Humboldt County has had 4,135 cases and 42 deaths.
Modoc County has had 501 cases and 4 deaths.
