A quiet Sunday afternoon in several Red Bluff quiet residential neighborhoods was disrupted by a dangerous high speed chase. At around 2:30PM officers tried to stop a car but the driver led them on a lengthy pursuit around town before driving through a fence at a church, and becoming entangled in the chain-link. Three occupants jumped out and ran. The pursuing officer caught a passenger, 33-year-old Amber Scott. Witnesses pointed officers toward the driver, who was still running away. Identified as 35-year-old Brandon Bacon, he was found hiding in a dumpster, almost completely covered in trash. The other passenger got away.
