230 Shasta County residents have died from COVID-19. The last reported day was Thursday, when just 4 cases were confirmed, along with 694 negative tests, for a total so far of 12,413 cases. An estimated 127 people have the virus right now; 11 are hospitalized and 4 are in intensive care.
69 fully vaccinated people in Shasta County have gotten Covid, but none of them died and only 2 were hospitalized.
In addition to walk-in vaccinations at the Redding Senior Center on Benton Drive Fridays through Tuesdays, many other options are available for getting vaccinated. A drive-through clinic will be held at Public Health on Breslauer Way June 9th, with the Pfizer vaccine, as well as the one-shot Johnson & Johnson.
