Flagship Litter Project in South Redding

A stretch of Highway 273 in south Redding is getting some attention Monday. CalTrans and Adopt-a-Highway volunteers from the Good News Rescue Mission are going to be picking up trash along the highway between Buenaventura and Branstetter between 10am and noon. CalTrans says it’s part of the governor’s Clean California initiative, a sweeping three-year $1.5 billion effort to remove litter and beautify state property.
