Tehama County Has A 911 Dispatcher Shortage

911 calls in Tehama County will have to be rerouted during the graveyard shift due to a shortage of dispatchers. The Tehama County Sheriff’s Office says they have not been able to compete in the job market and their dispatchers keep leaving for higher paying positions. They say they’re actively recruiting, but in the meantime all the county’s 911 calls between midnight and 6am will go to the Red Bluff Police Dispatch Center.
