Holiday Markets wants to build a new grocery store right across the street from their existing store at the corner of Hartnell Avenue and Shasta View Drive. The new 30,000 square foot market on the southeast corner of the intersection would be accompanied by five other businesses, including a drive-through restaurant, a coffee drive through and a convenience store with a gas station. A large mini-storage facility is also proposed, which would require a zoning change. Impediments to the project include some oak trees and a small wetland area. A Planning Commission hearing is set for Tuesday afternoon at 4 o’clock.
