A local community health organization has been victimized by a cybersecurity attack, compromising some personal information of thousands of patients. Hill Country Health and Wellness Center, which has facilities in Round Mountain and Redding, was not directly targeted. It was an affiliate called Capture RX, which provides support for Hill Country’s discounted pharmacy program. The breach occurred in February. On May 24th Hill Country was told that hackers had accessed the files of 2,600 of their patients. The information was limited to first and last name, date of birth and prescription information. Notification will be mailed to all of the impacted patients.
