Redding Police rolled out their armored vehicle for a report of a man with a gun at an East Redding park Tuesday morning. At 6:35AM someone called to report that they were in Enterprise Park when a man brandished a gun and threatened to shoot them. With a CHP helicopter overhead, multiple RPD Officers swarmed the area as the armored vehicle was used to approach the suspect’s pickup truck. 71-year-old Charles Rogers was taken into custody without incident. He apparently had a replica gun that looked like a real revolver. He was booked for exhibiting a replica firearm in a threatening manner.
