Police are trying to find the driver of a vehicle that hit and killed a pedestrian Wednesday morning in South Redding. Officers were called to South Bonnyview Road east of the intersection with East Bonnyview Road at 4:53AM after someone reported a pedestrian down in the roadway. Arriving officers found an unidentified person deceased in the westbound lanes. An unknown vehicle had fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. No information is known about the vehicle or driver. The westbound lanes of South Bonnyview Road were closed for about 3-and-a-half hours as police investigated and looked for evidence.
