Two Oregon Men Arrested During High Risk Traffic Stop

A South Redding man was threatened with a gun after apparently scaring some burglars away from his neighbor’s house. At 9:20AM Friday morning the man confronted two men and one of them fired a gun in the air before pointing it at the man. They fled in a black Ford Ranger, and a description was sent out on police radios. A few minutes later an RPD Officer spotted the truck going onto southbound I-5. A high-risk traffic stop was done, and 24-year-old Jacob Johnson and 45-year-old Wade Withrow, both of Oregon, were detained. Two guns were found in the truck and both men were booked into jail.
