Children’s Group Seeking Donations Of Sleeping Bags For Upcoming Summer Camp

A local organization that helps children from abusive and troubled homes is collecting sleeping bags for their upcoming Summer camp. Camp Hope is facilitated by Pathways to Hope for Children, formerly called the Shasta County Child Abuse Prevention Council. Pathways works year-round with children as they try to break the multi-generational cycle of violence. This Summer, they’ll take 72 kids between the ages of 8 and 17 to the mountains to spend a week building positive relationships, resilience and healthy coping skills. New full size sleeping bags are needed. They’ll be collected Friday from 11AM to 3PM at two locations: the Pathways Redding Office at 2280 Benton Drive and at the Anderson Teen Center on East Center Street.
