“Goat Strike Force” Returns To Help Ease Fire Danger

They may be just weeds and dangerous fire fuel to you, but for a busy herd of goats, it’s called lunch. Redding Fire Department, with help from Redding Electric Utility, have brought back the goat strike force to munch away potentially hazardous fuels in various parts of town. People are reminded not to feed, bother, pet or disturb the goats or the dogs watching over them. Also, the fence around their paddock is electrified, so it obviously should not be touched. A listing of the locations they’ll be lunching is posted to the KQMS Facebook page.
