A house fire in East Redding Friday morning was a total loss. Firefighters responded to the house on Arizona Street at Starthmore at around 4AM. The structure value is estimated at $250,000 and the contents estimated at $130,000. There was some damage to an adjacent structure and an outbuilding, and several Chickens died from the heat. All four residents made it out safely. The fire is believed to have started in the kitchen. The cause is still under investigation.
