A man was shot to death in East Redding Friday night, and the shooter is still at large. At around 9:05PM, police were called to the Hacienda West apartment complex a little south of Enterprise High School. They arrived to find a man suffering a gunshot wound. He died after arriving at Mercy Hospital. Redding Police detectives spent more than 12 hours at the apartments looking for evidence and talking to witnesses. They learned that the victim had been in a confrontation with a group of men when one of them pulled out a gun and shot him. The group of men then fled, and the shooter’s identity is not known, nor is it known what the fight was about. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the RPD.
