The CHP has released details about a fatal collision in Southeastern Shasta County. Monday just before Noon, 45-year-old Danielle Petersen of Eureka was driving a Honda Odyssey van with 4 passengers on Black Butte Road just north of Wildcat Road when a Honda Pilot came around a corner in her lane, striking the van head-on. Peterson had complaints of pain. Three of the passengers were injured, the worst being a broken collar bone. The driver of the pilot was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered fatal injuries. The Coroners Office is trying to determine his identity.
