A house fire spread to vegetation in the Jones Valley area Thursday afternoon. Cal-Fire responded shortly before 4 O’clock to Elk Trail East. The fire was apparently mostly burning in the attic until some sort of explosion sent the fire out into the vegetation. Access was difficult as the fire trucks were unable to make it up the narrow driveway and had to run hose lines for hundreds of feet. The vegetation fire was held to less than an acre.
