A Shasta County man has been given a significant sentence for domestic violence after multiple offenses. 27-year-old Colby Gibbs entered a guilty plea last month to inflicting corporal injury, domestic violence and strangulation. The abuse occurred from April to July of 2019, and Gibbs already had a prior conviction on the same crimes. On Tuesday he was sentenced to 12 years in state prison.
