The northbound lanes of Highway 273 just south of the Redding City Limits were closed for a while Wednesday night while fire crews extinguished a motor home fire. The RV was fully engulfed in flames that were spreading to vegetation when firefighters arrived at around 8:30PM. The large recreational vehicle burned completely down to its frame, sending up a large dark cloud of smoke.
