Someone died in a crash in Eastern Shasta County Sunday night. The crash was reported to the CHP at 8:20PM on Hawkins Creek Road, a private gravel road about halfway between Big Bend and Iron Canyon Reservoir. Fire rescue personnel confirmed one fatality and one person, apparently the driver, with moderate injuries. A vehicle had gone off the road about 60 feet down an embankment. The CHP and the Coroner’s Office both had a hard time finding the location.
