Starting Saturday the visitation schedule at the Shasta County Jail will return to normal hours. It had been significantly impacted by a mechanical failure of the visitor elevator. It was thought the failure would impact visitation for two months, but it has been repaired early and is functioning properly. Hours for inmate visitation are posted in the jail lobby and also online at co.shasta.ca.us/sheriff.
