Marijuana Team Raids Marijuana Gardens In Oak Run

A raid by the Shasta County Sheriff’s Marijuana Team netted a lot of pot and a half dozen arrests in an Oak Run subdivision. Monday morning deputies were assisted by Cal-Fire and Fish and Wildlife as they searched 18 separate properties in the Mill Creek Subdivision.  officials destroyed nearly 2000 marijuana plants, some of them up to 12 feet tall. 104 of the plants were reportedly being grown by Tim Saephan on Stagecoach Road. A father and son, Khue and Da Vue, allegedly were growing 96 plants on Crockett Lane. Both are from Sacramento County and have multiple prior arrests. Brothers Kong and Thai Her face cultivation and weapons charges. Gary Zdrojewski was arrested with 47 plants. He and all the others reportedly told deputies they had moved to the area specifically to grow marijuana.  Some of the arrestees face additional penalties for illegal water diversion.
