Two people from Reno were killed in a crash in Siskiyou County last week. At 9:20PM last Thursday night a 2005 Toyota Corolla was northbound on Highway 89 south of Edson Creek Road near McCloud when the 23-year-old female driver lost control. The car left the road and slammed into a tree. The 30-year-old male passenger, who was wearing a seatbelt, was declared dead at the scene. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was taken to Mercy Mount Shasta, where she later died. Names have not been released by the CHP.
