A pedestrian was badly hurt when he was struck by an allegedly drunk driver Saturday night. The collision happened at around 10:30PM on Parkview Avenue at State Street, just a couple hundred feet from the Redding Police Department. 42-year-old Daren Christian Reed was driving his Honda Civic eastbound when he hit the man in the roadway. The victim suffered significant injuries. His name is withheld until his condition stabilizes. Redding Police are seeking witnesses to the crash.
