It’s the 98th year for the Intermountain Fair in McArthur. The official Shasta County fair runs for five full days in the cool clean air of the Fall River Valley, starting Thursday with free admission and parking for everyone. Seniors 60 and over get in free on Friday. Saturday is free for kids under 12, with junior rodeo all day, as well as freestyle motocross and truck pulls at night. Sunday is Cattlemen’s Day with a parade at Noon and a destruction derby in the evening. The fair wraps up on Labor Day Monday with free parking and the junior livestock auction starting at 9AM.
