Anderson School Needs Votes For New Gym Floor

An Anderson school is a finalist in a contest to win a new high-tech gym floor from a national flooring company. Taraflex is a resilient sports floor manufactured by Gerflor U.S.A., which has been taking nominations for schools and community centers across the country to win a new gym floor. The three finalists are an elementary school in Kentucky, a Y.M.C.A. in Connecticut, and Anderson Middle School. The nominees were selected based on factors including financial need and condition of the current playing surface. Anderson Middle School’s floor has been buffed down so many times that nails are sticking up from the surface. The winner will be decided based on online voting at the Facebook page for Gerflor U.S.A. Voting only goes through Wednesday.
