Napping Car Thieve Busted In Anderson

You can’t take a nap just anywhere when you’re in a stolen car. At 6:40AM Wednesday morning an Anderson Police Officer was patrolling the Wal-Mart parking lot and saw a Cadillac STS parked near the south edge of the lot. A check of the license plate said the car was stolen out of Sacramento, so the officer crept up to the luxury sedan and peeked inside. Seeing the two men were reclined and sleeping soundly, the officer stepped away and called for backup. The slumbering men awoke to the faces of several APD Officers, and they were detained. 29-year-old Jeremy McDuffie was arrested. His passenger was given a ticket for sleeping in public.
