Anderson Police chased a stolen car Thursday night. Just after 9:30AM an officer ran the plate of a Honda Civic going south onto Interstate 5 from Balls Ferry Road. He learned it was stolen from Chico and tried to pull it over but the Honda sped up to around 80 miles an hour and kept going. He pulled to the shoulder at one point but then took off again, finally stopping on Cottonwood Hill. The CHP helped as a high-risk traffic stop was done with guns drawn and 23-year-old Ronald Jess Lowe was taken into custody. He’s on probation for felony vandalism and had no driver’s license. He was booked into jail.
