A motorcyclist was killed by an allegedly drunk driver in Gerber Saturday afternoon. At around 5:15PM the unidentified 36-year-old man from Gerber was on his 2013 Harley-Davidson stopped on San Benito Avenue north of Ramsey waiting to turn left into a private driveway when a Nissan pickup ran into him from behind, causing fatal injuries. The CHP says the driver of the pickup, 36-year-old Juan Langarica Pena, took off on foot but he was quickly captured and found to be intoxicated. He was booked into jail on felony charges.
