A Redding man’s attempt to run from the cops was short-lived, according to the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office. At 2:47AM Sunday morning a deputy on East Bonnyview saw a car roll through the red light from South Bonnyview onto East Bonnyview. When the deputy made a u-turn, the car sped up to about 60 miles and hour and tried to make a quick right turn onto Pioneer Lane. The car slid into some bushes at the corner and 32-year-old Bobby Erlandson was detained. He apparently admitted he had been drinking and he was placed under arrest.
