A 49-year-old Redding woman was injured when she was struck by a pickup truck in the City of Shasta Lake Wednesday night. At about 5:15PM deputies were called to the intersection of Front Street and Locust Street where they found Rebecca Ahlgren in the westbound lane of Front Street. She was crossing on foot when she was struck by a 2003 Chevy Silverado driven by 60-year-old Kathy Harrington of Shasta Lake. Ahlgren was treated at a local hospital. Deputies say there was heavy rain at the time and urge motorists to use caution during nighttime hours and inclement weather.
