State Releases App For Designated Drivers

If you need a designated driver this holiday season, there’s an app for that. The California Office of Traffic Safety has developed a first of its kind app that will allow users to see which local bars and restaurants offer discounts and other offers for designated drivers. Users will also be able see where they can purchase, or receive non-alcoholic drinks for free. Also through the app, users can find a rice home through Uber or Lift. The Redding Police Department says the app’s release coincides with the annual December DUI crackdown, and is partnering with local establishments to encourage them to use the app. For more information on the app go to the California Office of Traffic Safety’s Facebook page.
