Donald Trump hasn’t even been sworn into office yet, but California officials are already gearing up for a fight over much of his agenda. Democratic leaders in Sacramento Wednesday announced the hiring of former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder as an outside counsel to advise on potential legal challenges to the upcoming administration. North State Senator Ted Gaines is crying foul over that decision, claiming that any challenge to Trumps legislation is the job of the State Attorney General. In a press release he claims the Democrats are spending Millions on an unnecessary position, that is not supported by the 4.2 Million Californian’s who voted for Trump. Instead Gaines says Californian’s should be given tax relief.
