A man was murdered in Hayfork Tuesday night and a 45-year-old woman has been charged. At 11 O’clock Tuesday night Trinity County Sheriff’s Deputies and detectives were dispatched to a call about a gunshot victim at a home on Felch Street in Hayfork. They found a man inside the house who had been shot dead. Betsy James was interviewed at the scene and she allegedly admitted to being the shooter. She’s been booked into jail for murder. The identity of the dead man is withheld until family is notified.
